企业管理者根本无从分析商情的情形在商场上屡见不鲜，市场环境是瞬息万变的，如果根本没有任何准确的商业情报可供分析，那么，快速作出试探性的反应很重要，就算估算错误，最后修正时间也会比竞争对手采取行动提前很多，这种试探性反应的成本要比落后竞争对手小得多。

理论上，西方世界的商业教学一般会用很逻辑式的方式教授学生：要先设立明确目标，然后搜集商情，分析情报，建立计划，最后执行计划。但往往这样按部就班地去执行，商机已经消失了。

处在这种情形下的经理人，应该继续往前走，在市场上“丢出”试探性的做法，然后从中学习，再继续前进。

先行动，再学习，哪怕行动是错误的。我知道，这有别于传统商业学习中所告诉学习者一以贯之的“先计划，再执行”的理论。但当企业管理者们学会了如何思考，而不是一味地拷贝前人的经验时，他们就已经接近成功了。

But let’s say you’re on a deserted highway late at night and your car breaks down. Along comes a car driven by someone who doesn’t seem quite right to you. He offers you a ride to the nearest gas station. You make the quick decision to accept the ride because it’s late, you’re cold and tired and you don’t want to sit there waiting for the highway patrol to arrive.
